Thanks to everyone who responded.
I wound up marinating them for 3 hours, then hot-smoked them at 350 with
lump and a little hickory.  Had a couple of sweltering chickens above the
rabbit so that gave it a boost.  Made a mop out of the marinade to keep them
moistened.  Turned out pretty darned tasty.  Reminded me of frog legs.

RABBIT MARINADE
2/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 apple cider vinegar
6 cloves crushed garlic
1 tsp white pepper
2 bay leaves
Whisk ingredients together in a small bowl.

RABBIT MOP SAUCE
To leftover marinade, add 1/4 cup olive oil
& 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar and whisk together
